Our Laboratory
This laboratory mainly conducts practical research on how humans can utilize phytoplankton (microalgae), which is photosynthetic sea organism. Surprisingly, micro algae are performing photosynthesis production in the ocean at almost the same level as the onshore plants. Currently, we are considering that this unutilized resource as a producer of the next-generation fuel oil. Since microalgae are, so to speak, sea plants, fertilizer is necessary for artificial cultivation. This research department is also focusing on using deep ocean water, another unutilized resource, as a fertilizer. We regard human beings as part of the global environment and are striving to create environmentally friendly energy that combines various natural substances. We are also conducting evaluation research and application development on slightly acidic electrolyzed water, which is environmentally friendly sterilizing water.
